Ii followed the sizing chart. As I wear a size 5 1/2 I purchased a size 7. The 7 was too large-- definitely not equivalent to 5 1/2. A fix to this will prevent returns. The shoe itself felt flimsy in the instep. Perhaps they make the show large because they figure most will want an insole. In any event, I had to return.
