Songs for Mother's Day Routine

Posted by Danzia on Tuesday, 09 May 2017

If you have a mom like mine, she deserves the world this Mother’s Day. Between the endless pairs of pointe shoes and expensive dance class fees, I can’t always afford to buy her everything her heart desires. If you are in the same predicament as I am, I have a solution. Why not use your most precious talent to treat your mom this year? Create a dance routine and perform it for her! She will absolutely love that you put the time and effort into creating something so special just for her. To make it a little easier on you, we have curated a selection of songs dedicated to those amazing dance moms out there.

Taylor Swift “The Best Day”

This is one of Taylor’s early songs so it has a lot of acoustic guitar and the lyrics are just beautiful. You are sure to get a tear or two out of your mom with this song.

Backstreet Boys “The Perfect Fan”

Here’s another throwback song for you. It has a slower tempo to dance to and who doesn’t love a classic boy band song?

The Dream “Mama”

This song is a beautiful serenade to The Dream’s late mother. With an r&b sound, this song reminisces on his childhood memories.

Kanye West “Hey Mama”

This song is little bit more upbeat, in which Kanye thanks his mom for everything she has done for him.

John Lennon “Mother”

John Lennon wrote this song for both of his parents whom he lost at a young age. It has a calm, magical quality to it.

Spice Girls “Mama”

This song was a collaboration between all the Spice Girls. They wrote this song to dedicate to each of their mothers.
